[Accidental Voice/Action] A New Arrival

[Hiro, upon waking up on the outskirts of Luceti's town, sits up with a start, accidentally smacking the record button on his (open) journal. The following can be heard...]

What happened? Where's Daichi? ...Where's my shirt and my jacket- oh, here they are! Why are there holes in the back? ...My back! There's THINGS on them! Oh my god- OW! They don't come off! Wait, my shirt fits over the things- hey, they're thing-holes! Huh... hey, I can move the things! They're like... wings! And the thing-holes are wing-holes! WAIT, this means I have wings! But how? Wait, where's my cell phone? Crap! I can't defend myself against demons without my cell phone... Gotta find my cell phooooone! ...Hey, wait, what's this?

[Some fumbling sounds are heard, and the recording abruptly ends.]

[Some fumbling noises as he tries to orient the journal properly.]

Um... hi! Yeah, I'm alright, I guess, aside from the fact that my wing-things hurt. Who are you, and how are you making this thing talk?

[Okay cool! All is well with this guy.]

Well.. no, not exactly. And the wings hurting is normal; that should stop within a couple a days though.

But uh.. My name's Atsuro Kihara. And the thing you're talking through is a journal. It basically works like a cell phone, so that's how it's talking and you're talking through it.

A couple of days? Ah, great... Well, nice to hear from you, Atsuro! My name is Hiro Kageyama, but you can just call me Hiro. Hey, does that mean you have wings too? How do you know they hurt?

Huh, I see... so I could text with this thing too? It's got a pen, I see... Oh! Speaking of cell phones! If you see a cell phone that's bright blue and the top screen flips sideways, could you possibly lead me to where it is? My phone has the demon summoning app on it, and with it, all my demons and skills. I can't defend myself without it, and who knows what might pop out here...

Yeah, I said demon summoning app. Everyone who signed up for the website Nicaea got it. I'm guessing you didn't sign up for it? I nearly didn't myself. I mean, who really wants to see their friends die, even if it's an opportunity to prevent the death?

[Hiro has not quite figured out that he's not in Tokyo/Osaka/Nagoya anymore.]

[...yeah Atsuro's just gonna go ahead and filter this, just in case! He'll get back to that wing thing soon enough, Hiro. Hold your horses.]

Nicaea? I've... never heard of it. [Though that sounds an awful lot like the Laplace Mail.] But you don't have to worry about demons here; there aren't any.

You've never heard of Nicaea? It's everywhere now! So many people have gotten the demon summoning app from that site. [The realization finally clicks.] ...Wait, what do you mean there are no demons?

...Atsuro, am I even still in Japan anymore?

[...Thaaat's a little worrisome. But.. yeah.]

Er.. No, you're not. This place is called Luceti. It's a completely different world from the one you come from.

A completely different world... [PANIC MODE!] Ah, crap crap crap! My friends are waiting for me back home! I need to make a decision who to go with, and I can't help any of them if I'm not there! How did I get here, and how can I get home?!

[Deeeeeeeep breaths, Hiro.]

...I'm sorry. But I think you can understand why I'm freaking out, right?

Huh? No no, that's fine. I'm pretty sure that everyone freaks out at least a bit when they get here. [Some handle it better than others, but..]

Just calm down, alright? Time works kind of weird here, so while you're here, it's as if time is stopped in your own world. So you don't have to worry about your friends worrying or anything. [Or about this.. decision thing.]

As if time is stopped, huh? Really? How do you know that? Well, since you're one of the locals, I guess I can trust you on that. [He gives a relieved sigh.] That's a relief, I guess. I'm still gonna be worried about everyone back home, but at least I know they'll be safe and nothing can go wrong while I'm here.

That's just what I've heard from loads of people while here. Sometimes people leave and go back to their home worlds and come back, so... Maybe they figured it out that way.

But yeah, try not to worry about it too much.

Yep, sure am. We could meet up once you get here, if you want. I could explain everything then.

Oh! That'd be great! I'm actually going to meet someone in town right now... Kouki, I think it was. He's a friend of yours, right? Some other people have mentioned you two together, and I think that he he mentioned you, too... How will I be able to find you? Oh, and what color are your wings?

Oh, Kou? Really? Yeah, he's my best friend! If you don't mind me asking, who mentioned that? [He's a little curious..]

And my wings are blue. I'm wearing a beanie too, so you could always look out for that as well.

That girl... Um, I think her name was Ange? Something like that.

Blue wings and a beanie... I'll be sure to look out for you! And I know your voice through this thing too, so I can listen for you if all else fails. Or I can just ask Kouki where you are.

Oh, Ange? Yeah, she's a friend of mine. [Now he's kind of wondering if she mentioned anything about the demons, seeing as how she saw what Atsuro's world is like... Oh well.]

Alright then, Hiro! Shouldn't be hard to find. I'll be looking out for you too.

Oh! Here's a question for you. Where do you live? I'm going to have to get a place here sooner or later, and maybe it'd be nice to live near you... that way I could find you more easily! Do you live near Kouki at all? I'm just wondering.

Huh? Oh, uh.. I live with Kou, actually. If you need a place to stay, I guess I wouldn't mind you staying with us, as long as that's fine with him.

Oh, that's convenient! I was thinking of maybe moving in with him, actually... and you, of course. Maybe you two should chat about whether it's okay for me to stay with you guys and then let me know what you decide?

Yeah, that'll work. I'll talk to him about it and then let you know, alright? I'm pretty sure it'll be fine with him though.

Done deal! I hope you guys sort this out soon~ Er, well, I'm sure I can find a place to stay for the night if things fall through, but it'd be nice to stay with some friends.

Yeah. Worst comes to worst, you could stay in the Welcome Center until then. They have housing there too. [Just not as private, obviously.]
