[After some fumbling around with registering at the Welcome Center, Hiro was finally ready to move in with his new friends. It wasn't quite as much hassle as he thought, considering he had no real belongings to bring into his new home.]

[Kouki doesn't mind Hiro moving in. But a part of him worry about the possibility of his roommate finding out about Abel.

Hiro? Yeah, I'm home!

[Cheery and casual, not a hint of what he's thinking earlier.]

Hey, hey! Here I am? Have you seen Atsuro around? I was hoping to finally meet him... [A beat.] So, which room will be mine?

[Hearing Hiro's voice and his own name being mentioned, Atsuro comes out of his ~~troll cave~~ room and gives the newcomer a wave.]

Oh, hey, Hiro! I'm here. [sup]

[Hiro pretty much lights up upon seeing Atsuro.] Hi! It's nice to finally meet you in person. ...So, what do you guys do around here? Is there even anything to do...?

We plot our evil plan here while petting my cat. [Saying it so casually, before cracking a grin.]

[He gets the sarcasm, but he's going to play along.] Oh really? And what is this evil plan? I need to know what I'm getting into here!

[Atsuro laughs, scratching the hair underneath his hat a bit.] Taking over bridges, apparently. [As awkward as that was during that experiment, he can't help but laugh at it now, so..]

...Taking over bridges? That sounds like it's got a goooood story behind it! Tell me more about your "evil plans!" [He laughs cheerfully, eager to hear more.]

Once upon a time, there is a group of evil villains. Their plot? Take over the bridge and charge people for using it!

[At least it's a small-scale evil plan.]

Oh, that sounds soooo evil! And also inconvenient! [He says this with mock seriousness in his voice.] But really... what do you guys do around here other than hatch evil schemes to be bridge trolls?

[He chuckles, then grins.]

Just hang around and hang out, I guess? I mean, admittedly, there isn't all that much to do here. It's just about summer though, so there will probably be loads of events going on. [beach parties?!]

Knowing this place, people will start planning trips to the beach about now. Unless the Malnosso decided to give us a surprise.

[Normally with an experiment, but they haven't got a draft in a while.]

Ooh! I'd love to plan a beach party! One with all kinds of food and drinks and- [His little fantasy gets cut off.] ...Uh. What kind of "surprise" do you mean?

[Oh yes that does sound like fun.]

Well... You know about the experiments, right?

Er... someone did mention them today, but they didn't go into much detail about it. Could you tell me a bit more about them?

It's pretty self-explanatory. The Malnosso put us through experiments every month or two to gather data. Sometimes they're harmless but embarrassing, other times they can be terrible.

[Spoken like someone who experienced them a lot, for a long time.]

Yeah, basically. From what I've seen, it seems like they're more embarrassing than not though. I haven't really experienced any of the particularly bad or dangerous ones myself, but I've heard of them.

[Like the moon falling. He's glad he wasn't here for that one...]

The Malnosso? What's that? I'm sorry about all the questions, but I'd like to learn all I can.

[Or the hallucinations during that one Halloween.]

The Malnosso are the organisation who brought us here. They're responsible for our stay and the barrier, as well as sending us on drafts.

Now what are drafts...? These Malnosso... is there any way to defeat them or stop them from experimenting on us or anything?

The drafts sound exactly what they are. They would pick up compatible villagers, regardless if they can fight or not, and send them into the warzone.

[He's pissed about the forced participation for the noncombatants. He can fight, they can't.]

What Kou said, yeah. Basically, they're like drafts we have back at home for war, but people who can't fight are included too. They put out a list of people who have to participate, and that's that.

Compatible...? Whether they can fight or not...? So there are civilians that have to be defended, then! [The idea of non-combatants clumped in with the fighters is making him remember all those times he had to protect innocent people from demons.] I might have a bit of trouble without my demons, but I'm sure my skills will be of some help.

My usual skills let me be self-sufficient, but during the drafts, we gotta do all we can to protect the civilians. We're usually out there for a couple of days, no matter where we end up in. Underground, rainforest, farm, so forth.

Yep. Since a lot of the people here can't fight, after all. [--oh wait] Uh.. Sorry to derail this a bit, but you mentioned having a demon-summoning program earlier..?

Yeah, that's right! I do have a demon summoning program, or rather, an app. It's on my phone. Want to see it?

Yeah, could I? If you don't mind, anyway.

[He hands his phone right over to Atsuro] Sure! Go right ahead! Are you looking for something in particular on it?

[He'll just let Atsuro handle this and watch.]

[Taking it with a grin!] Yeah, kind of. Kou and I have something similar to it back at home, so I wanted to take a look at it and see just how similar it is. It'll probably be hard to compare seeing as how some of its functions won't work here like how ours don't, but I'd still like to see the rest.

[..it may take a bit of time though, so...] Mind if I look at it for a while? My COMP's over in my room, which I need for comparison, so... I'll be back out in a bit though. That alright with you guys?
