[Hiro, upon waking up on the outskirts of Luceti's town, sits up with a start, accidentally smacking the record button on his (open) journal. The following can be heard...]

What happened? Where's Daichi? ...Where's my shirt and my jacket- oh, here they are! Why are there holes in the back? ...My back! There's THINGS on them! Oh my god- OW! They don't come off! Wait, my shirt fits over the things- hey, they're thing-holes! Huh... hey, I can move the things! They're like... wings! And the thing-holes are wing-holes! WAIT, this means I have wings! But how? Wait, where's my cell phone? Crap! I can't defend myself against demons without my cell phone... Gotta find my cell phooooone! ...Hey, wait, what's this?

[Some fumbling sounds are heard, and the recording abruptly ends.]

[With a smile, he close the journal and leave his apartment. After living in Luceti for so long, he knows where the rivers are in the village.

So he head to one of the river areas and look around.]

[Hiro continues to follow the river a ways, getting closer to the village with each step. Finally, he sees someone familiar and calls out to him.]

Hey there! Kouki, is that you?

[Hearing someone called his name out, he looks over at where it comes from. Seeing Hiro over there, he grins and waves.]

Hey, Hiro! Yeah, it's definitely me.

[He waves right back and approaches, smiling brightly.]

Hi! Nice to finally meet you! [He looks Kouki over as he extends his hand for a handshake.] Would you mind showing me around a bit? Or at least showing me to the item shop so I can grab my cell phone before someone else does?

[He shakes Hiro's hands. The other boy seems curious and energetic.]

Sure thing. The item's shop over by the plaza, so follow me.

Will do! [With that, he cheerfully follows Kouki towards wherever he's going.] Someone told me that the river divides the village in half... I think.

Pretty much. There's a map of the village in the journals, if you ever want to look at it.

...Eh? Where in the journal is it? Is it in the back and I just didn't notice it, or do I have to use some command like "Summon Map!" to bring it up?

By the way, where do you guys live in this place? I just realized I need a place to stay if I'm going to be stuck here...

...As for where, you can pick any place here and move in. The Welcome Centre have a registry of all the current houses and apartments, and whether they're vacant or not.

Ohhh, I see! [He promptly follows the directions and calls up the map.] ...Huh. This is gonna take some getting used to. Maybe I should live somewhere near the Welcome Center so I can get help easily...

Hey, that reminds me. Where do you live? Maybe I could move in somewhere close to you! ...Or maybe with you, if that's not too much to ask? It's just that, well, you seem like the best bet for a roommate around here... eh, if that's too awkward, don't worry about it. I'll be fine on my own, but I wouldn't mind living near you. You're my first real friend in Luceti, after all.

[He blinks at the questions.]

I live over at building seven. [He points at where C7 is on the map.] And I don't mind at all, but we gotta ask my friend first. He's living with me, so he gotta have a say in this.

Oh, I see. Well, maybe I could ask him for you? I was talking to him not too long ago. If it's okay with you, I mean. Or you could ask him; whatever makes you more comfortable is fine with me.

I don't mind either way, but I think I'll talk to him later.

[Now that's settled, he'll be using the map as a guide.] This is the plaza, you can get what you need from the stores around there. The school is also here [points at A] if you want to attend.

The battle dome is over there [points at BD] if you want to train.

Hmm, okay... and here's the item shop! How about we go there together, huh? We can both look for where my cell phone ended up, then!

Sure thing. At least we don't have to find your clothes as well. You might get unlucky and arrive here in just pants.

Oh, yikes! That wouldn't be any good. I got lucky then, I guess... let's hope I get lucky with my phone, too.

Your phone might be at the item store, but don't pin your hopes on getting a reception to call home.

Oh... Well, I can't really call home for a variety of reasons, but I was hoping to at least call my friends and tell them where I am... hmm, now I'm worried about them...

...Hey, isn't this the item shop? Let's go inside. [He gives the map another looking over, making sure he's in the right place.]

Like I said earlier, time won't move while you're here.

[He enters the item store, glancing around. Maybe there's some new things today.] What do your phone look like?

Yeah. Sorry, the idea just takes some getting used to. I'm sure everything'll be fine...

[He's already begun scanning the shelves, picking up a few things and looking under them.] It's blue, and it has a top screen that can flip sideways. If you turn it on, you should be able to find my demon summoning app easily. Oh! And we have to look for the charger, too. That's very important.

[He pause and looks over at Hiro.]

...The demon summoning program won't work here. [This boy got the program as well, but on a cell phone?]

Uh oh. How do you know? Do you have a demon summoning program of your own? [He pauses, nervously looking past Kouki at the shelves.] Do you at least have access to your skills? I'll be fine if I at least have those... [Deep breaths, Hiro.] I know I shouldn't worry because there aren't any demons here, but I can't help it. I'm too used to there being demons everywhere.

[He used to have the program, but as the King, it's meaningless to him.]

I can still use my skills, so do my friend. Even without constant demons, there might be a time when you need to fight.

Oh, okay, that's a relief. I expected as much... I'm used to always being prepared for a fight at this point. [Suddenly, he spots his phone in a pile of things.] Aha! Found you! [He immediately turns it on and checks the summoning app.] Just as you said... my demons are all gone. But my skills are still here. What a relief, I can still protect myself... now that I have this, I don't have to worry so much. Now to find the charger!
